Error that somebody with your registration number is using QuickLaw

QuickLaw keeps track of who is using it at all times. When you start the program it creates a record in the shared database with your license number. That number is deleted when you exit the program. If you don't exit the program properly you will get a message the next time telling you that somebody is already logged in as you, and asking if you want to knock of the other person.

You should answer "Yes", and then try to start QuickLaw again.

If that doesn't solve the problem run FileFix and repair/compact the "Shared data file QLData.MDB".

Try it again, answering Yes again to the question.

If that doesn't work try the DelUsers.MDB utility (download it from here now).

Place this file in the same folder that you have QuickLaw in on the local PC (not the shared data folder if that is separate). The folder that you want is, by default, C:\QuickLaw.

Run the DelUsers utility. Try double-clicking on it. If that doesn't run it then you need to setup a link using the Access runtime file MSARN200.EXE. Try copying one of your other QuickLaw links, or try the following:

Click the start button, then Run, then type "C:\QuickLaw\MSARN200    C:\QuickLaw\DelUsers.MDB   /INI C:\Windows\QuickLaw.INI"

Once it starts, click the button to remove all users from the database.

If this doesn't solve your problem then your data file is corrupted. You need to restore your backup files.
