Court Form Update For QuickLaw
2/4/03
There are two updated forms for Workers Compensation:
Applies to new version only: This update will only work if you have downloaded and installed the new Web Version (New installations) or UPDATED your old QuickLaw to the web version). If you haven't yet done that you must do so now by clicking on the links above.
WARNING: If you have created or edited your own court forms in QuickLaw this update WILL overwrite your new forms. It will NOT effect any Letters (Form Letter) that you created... only new Court Forms created in OmniForm Premium. We are not aware of any users who have tried to create their own Court Forms to date, so most of you do NOT need to worry about this.

Experience level: You should be very comfortable with computers in general, and comfortable copying and deleting files from folders, as well as running programs from the Start/Run button to perform this update. If you are not a "computer person" you should get somebody else to do it.
Backup: This is critical for the update! Before you attempt to perform the update make sure you have BACKED UP your entire system. You are downloading and using this program at your own risk. If you have Windows ME or XP set a checkpoint so you can restore your system in case something goes wrong.
Did you get OmniForm Filler version 5 yet? You need the latest Omniform to run QuickLaw 3.0 and these new forms.
Steps:
Download the New Form Update File (NewDOR.MDB) (10 megabytes) to one of the computers with QuickLaw on it by simply clicking on the hyperlink in this sentence. Save the file to C:\QuickLaw on your system.
From the Windows desktop choose Start, then Run and type: "C:\QuickLaw\MSARN200 C:\QuickLaw\NewDOR.MDB /INI QuickLaw.INI /User QLOwner" (all on one line). It may ask you for a password. Enter 88A-LZP*_17U9[ (that last character is a left-square-bracket). This is the file you just downloaded. Answer Yes to each question when it asks if you want to replace files. When the update is done it will return to the Windows Desktop. It shouldn't take very long to finish.
You're done! Now run QuickLaw and make sure the date at the bottom left of the DOR and the Expedited hearing forms are dated 2003.
