(If you want to upgrade to version 3 and at the same time move QuickLaw to a new computer click here for instructions)
Contact Prakash in the I.T. department at Med-Legal, Inc (email QuickLaw@GetRecords.com). Our phone number is 800-244-3495. Tell them you want to upgrade QuickLaw to version 3. They will give you an upgrade appointment.
On your appointment date FTP the files to us: Run Internet Explorer (like if you were to surf the internet). It’s usually a big “e” on your desktop or you can hit the “start” button at the bottom left corner and navigate from there. Type in the address bar ftp://208.57.172.224 then hit enter. Upload the following files:
i. QLData.mdb
ii. DBClosed.mdb
For single-user installations all the files go in your C:\QuickLaw folder.
For multi-user systems the first two files (QLData.MDB and DBClosed.MDB) go in the shared network data folder (often called x:\QLData) and the rest of the files go in the local QuickLaw installation folder (C:\QuickLaw) on each user's hard drive.
Done.
